The Java House – First Avenue is a local coffee shop chain offering single-origin brews and espresso drinks using handcrafted, roasted coffee from the brand’s North Liberty roastery. The café serves seven brewed pour-over coffees daily, along with Fast Cup urn coffee for those on the go, along with freshly baked pastries, muffins, and scones from the Java House Bakery. Founded by Tara Cronbaugh in 1994, the Java House has been roasting ethically sourced beans ever since.
