The Crossroads Repertory Theatre is a volunteer theater that produces five main stage plays and musicals, and several Oakley Stage plays with smaller casts in a more intimate space, every year. Established as the ISU Summer Theatre, the theater began producing plays during the summer of 1965, attracting graduate students who wanted to gain valuable experience and be a part of good theater. The theater produces a calendar of productions and performances, ranging from well-known plays to up-and-coming concerts by emerging artists.
