Established in 1882, the Vigo County Public Library is a public library that houses a wide-ranging collection of fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, newspapers, reference, and research materials, and offers a variety of services, including children's storytimes, public computers, and interlibrary loans. Members also have access to a range of downloadable audiobooks, eBooks, music, videos, CDs, and DVDs, and the library hosts political debates during election seasons, ‘cracker-barrel’ meetings with representatives and state senators during the legislative session, and community meetings.
