Incline Village in Nevada gets its name from the Great Incline Tramway that was constructed in 1878 by loggers. The town today is home to some of the most beautiful mountain retreats in the Lake Tahoe area, as well as relaxing beaches. During the summer season, visitors can find opportunities for fishing, waterskiing, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking and mountain biking along several trails, and swimming, while the winter months draw guests to the area with skiing and snowboarding. People also come to the Incline Village, Nevada area for the annual Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival during the summer.
