Historic London Town and Gardens is a lovely 23-acre public historic park in Edgewater, Maryland, located just across the South River from the city of Annapolis. The charming park, which is jointly operated by Anne Arundel County and the nonprofit London Town Foundation, preserves the region's rich history, archaeology, and horticulture, protecting structures dating back to 1760. Visitors can walk through the park's William Brown House living history museum or view ongoing archaeological endeavors, which are attempting to uncover artifacts connected to the "lost" town of London. The park's eight-acre Woodland Garden is home to a mile-long trail showcasing native and exotic plant species, while its seasonal Ornamental Gardens feature beautiful landscaping along the banks of the South River.
