Established in 1905, Pinacoteca do Estado de Sao Paulo is a paramount art museum in Downtown Sao Paulo. It is the oldest museum in the area and has one of the largest collections of Brazilian art. Artifacts include 19th century Brazilian and European sculptures and paintings as well as iconic modernist art and decorative arts. Some pieces of art that visitors should not miss during their trip to Pinacoteca do Estado de Sao Paulo are Roman Slave by Oscar Pereira de Silva, The Wind Storm by Antonio Parreiras, and the Vera Alves de Lima by Cyprien Eugene Boulet.
