Located in the Western Desert, Souq al-Gamaal is Egypt's largest camel market. Tourists from all over the world visit the famous market and people from all walks of life go there to find healthy meat. This has especially been true since the spread of diseases such as bird flu. This is the largest gathering of camels, a species are often referred to as "the ship of the desert."
