The outdoor arena is situated on the ground of the popular Harveys Lake Tahoe and first opened with a Gipsy Kings performance in 1992. Ever since, the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena has hosted numerous musical events, such as the "Harveys Summer Concert Series," a long running Lake Tahoe event. Every summer, Harveys Casino's parking lot becomes one of the region’s largest concert venues and is home to performances by many famous performers like The Who and Lady Gaga.
