Review & FAQ:
The Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site in Deer Lodge dates back to the year 1862. This was when Johnny Grant, a fur trader from Canada, established the original ranch. In 1972, the current ranch was established as an appreciation of the western cattle industry, a thriving part of Montana and the western United States since the middle of the 1880’s. Covering a total of 1,618 acres, visitors at the Grant-Kohrs Ranch can take a guided tour of the ranch house during the year, participate in a variety of ranger-led activities, or take a self-guided tour of the ranch.
