Located in the Old Market Square (where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake), the Vieux Marche (The Old Market) operates 6 days of the week (closed on Mondays). This market takes place in a covered market hall and offers a great selection of fresh produce brought in by local farmers and other food merchants. You will find a handful of stalls selling the French version of “fast food” – mainly crusty baguettes filled with cured meats or cheeses and sweet or savory crepes (pancakes). The historic square is always bustling with tourists and is surrounded by pavement cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink or meal as you soak up the atmosphere.
