Review:

While a number of the country’s top snowboarding resorts impress visitors with the number of runs and sheer size, Whiteface Mountain, NY overcomes a relatively small size by comparison with its rather surprising variety. Situated near Lake Placid, which was the host of the 1980 Winter Olympics, fresh powder can be found here in abundance, providing plenty of opportunities for snowboarding. The Whiteface Mountain resort features more than ninety trails, including several routes specifically designed for guests of beginner or intermediate skill sets. The full-featured terrain park contains rails and jumps that are particularly popular among snowboarders.
