The Cloisters on the Platte is a foundation that regularly hosts retreats in Gretna, Nebraska in the 500-year tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Guests will find a peaceful environment set among the Platte River Valley’s naturally beautiful surroundings. Established by Joe Ricketts in 2014, the Cloisters on the Platte offers the “power of quiet reflection” to those who are seeking spiritual renewal. Visitors can also spend some time at the Stations of the Cross, a 2,500-foot long walking tour featuring audio meditations and 14 sculpture stations representing the trail of Christ through his burial.
