Scenically tucked between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, the Hugh Taylor Birch State Park offers Fort Lauderdale residents and visitors a serene green coastal oasis for relaxation and recreation. You can access the park by boat from the Intracoastal Waterway or on foot via a pedestrian tunnel. Once there you can enjoy walking trails, spend some time on the beach, relax under a shady tree or go cycling. Swimming, snorkeling, canoeing and kayaking are all popular park activities and many visitors bring along a picnic and stay for the day. If you visit on the weekend you can join a ranger-led interpretive walk.
