Locals know their surroundings better than anyone and often prefer to avoid the major touristic areas. This is why you'll see a lot of locals avoiding noisy places like Banje Beach and heading out to Sveti Jakov instead. It's a short distance away from the heart of the city but is still easily accessible by car or public transport, with a couple of different bus routes stopping off at this Dubrovnik Beach.

Sveti Jakov isn't too well-known among tourists, so it never gets too busy and there's a real peaceful, calming atmosphere here that everyone can appreciate. This beach is ideal for folks who just want to sit on the sand with friends and loved ones and relax, listening to nothing but the gentle splash of the waves and admiring the beauty of the surrounding coastal scenery.
