One of the most popular beaches in Dubrovnik, Banje Beach is very conveniently located just a short walk from the city's main touristic and shopping districts. A lot of hotels and other accommodation in Dubrovnik is situated just a few minutes away from Banje Beach, so a lot of tourists tend to gather here when the sun is shining and the temperatures are warm. The sand here isn't the smoothest, spotted with little pebbles and shells, so it can pay to bring some comfortable beach towels or sun loungers if you want to spend some time sunbathing here.

Beach equipment can be rented from local vendors, but the prices can get a little high at times, so you'll need to be prepared for that. Lots of popular restaurants can be found nearby and this is a good beach for both families and thrill-seekers; the edge of the beach features warm, shallow waters that are just right for swimming and paddling, while the sections further out to sea offer ideal conditions for jet skis and more.
