The Taste of Chicago is the largest food festival in the world and the city of Chicago’s largest annual event, offering five days of food-related festivities every July since 1980. More than three million visitors attend the festival each year, which offers local favorites such as Chicago-style hot dogs and pizza, Maxwell Street Polish sausage, and Eli’s Cheesecake. More than three dozen restaurants are highlighted, along with 15 pop-up restaurants serving food for a single day of the festival. The festival also offers a section of carnival rides and live music performances at several stages by top national and international artists such as Carlos Santana, Moby, and Robert Plant.
