Oxbow Meadows is a treasure trove of learning resources about regional wildlife and ecology. Visitors can walk along peaceful nature trails that weave among ponds, wetlands, and native wildlife, or take the family for some educational fun on the Discovery Trail. Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center hosts exhibits about local natural history and also hands-on educational programs offered by experts from Columbus State University. The center is also home to a number of animals, including snakes, tortoises, and alligators, which are all available for viewing.
