Review:

Vogel State Park is one of the most beloved and oldest state parks in Georgia, located within the Chattahoochee National Forest, at the foot of Blood Mountain. Visitors pass through the Neel Gap coming from the south, traveling through the gorgeous mountain pass by Brasstown Bald, the state’s highest point. The state park is especially popular in the fall months, when the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains turn into a blanket of gold, yellow, and red leaves. There are several hiking trails to choose from throughout Vogel State Park, as well as primitive backpacking sites, campsites, and cottages.
