Founded in May 2002, the Wildlife Survival Sanctuary performs an essential service for wildlife in distress. Most of the animals in the sanctuary have been taken in when their owners can no longer undertake the complex care required by their exotic pets.

When you visit the sanctuary you will be taken on a tour of the facility and get to see some of their residents. Just a few of the animals which have been given a permanent safe home at the sanctuary include big cats like cougars, tigers, bob-cats, leopard and serval. In addition you may get to see primates, reptiles and even domestic livestock.

Visitors are always welcome to come and spend an hour or two enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens and Nursery and Nursery. The 3.5 acre botanical garden is divided into several themed areas including sections devoted to showcasing palms, desert-scapes, wild flowers and bromeliads, among many others.

There is a lovely formal waterfall area surrounded by plants usually found in rain forests. Local residents can gain inspiration for their own gardens in the Native Florida Plant Garden and take home a selection of plants from the nursery. Everyone loves the Rose Garden and the Oriental Tea Garden, and children will love the beautiful Fantasy Garden.
