Family owned and operated for more than 4 generations, Lukas Nursery is your go-to destination for anything to do with plants and gardening. The business grew out of a family farm which was established in 1912, supplying a wide variety of vegetables to the community. Today visitors can buy all their garden requisites at the nursery or stop by the popular butterfly and bird conservatory for close encounters with beautiful butterflies and a variety of exotic bird species. The best butterfly viewing season is summer, from April through September, but you can visit the conservatory all year round. If you are tempted to create your own butterfly-attracting garden the nursery can advise you on which plants to buy.
