The business grew out of a family farm which was established in 1912, supplying a wide variety of vegetables to the community. Today visitors can buy all their garden requisites at the nursery or stop by the popular butterfly and bird conservatory for close encounters with beautiful butterflies and a variety of exotic bird species. The best butterfly viewing season is summer, from April through September, but you can visit the conservatory all year round. For more than 30 years the Artistic Hand Gallery and Studio has been striving to promote a love of all things artistic in the Oviedo area. The studio was established by two art fanatics who had been creating artistic masterpieces since their respective childhoods. When you visit the galley today you will find a wide selection of artworks ranging from large sculptured pieces to delicate jewelry (and just about everything else in between). They also produce a line of interesting and functional everyday ceramic dinnerware and mugs to give your home an artistic lift.
