The Tampa Electric Manatee Viewing Center is a special manatee sanctuary that provides a crucial protected environment for manatees to live and breed. The Center features a variety of colorful displays and exhibits about the manatee and its habitat, as well as information about the Big Bend Power Station and how it generates electricity for the community in an environmentally responsible way.

Visitors can experience the force of a hurricane in the center’s unique hurricane simulator and learn how to prepare for major storms or stroll around the award-winning butterfly gardens that surround the center. Stroll along the center's tidal walk and take in the variety of native and coastal plant life that has made this unique habitat their home.
