Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

The Carver-Hill Museum was established to tell the story of the historic (1915) Carver Hill School which was once the only school in Okaloosa County to enroll African Americans. The school was named in honor of George Washington Carver and the Reverend Edward Hill and was funded by philanthropist Julius Rosenwald. The museum is filled with historic exhibits, documents, photographs and much more. Guided tours of the museum are available and visitors will often find that their docent is one of the many African American children who were educated at the school. The museum is open from 9am to 5pm on weekdays and 11am to 3pm on the weekends.
