Review & FAQ:
The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, also known as Zoo Miami is a fantastic place for a day out with the family. Set on 750 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds, the zoo is the oldest and largest zoological park in Florida and is home to over 3,000 animals and features more than 100 exhibits, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Amazon and Beyond, and Mission Everglades. Dr. Wilde's World is an indoor pavilion that features seasonal interactive exhibits and a large lake called Lake Iguana offers a lovely spot for relaxing with a picnic. The zoo can be explored on foot via three miles of walking paths, or on an air-conditioned monorail system that loops around the zoo's grounds providing excellent aerial views of the animal habitats. Narrated tram rides and guided tours are given daily.
