Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park is open 365 days a year from 8 AM until sundown, charges a small admission per vehicle, and is the former training grounds for soldiers during World War 2. What was once a place meant to train soldiers for war has since been reverted back to its natural beauty; century old longleaf pine trees, rugged landscapes, and the main park feature of Rocky Bayou in Choctawhatchee Bay. Throughout the year there are many special events, so guests may want to check the calendar of events located on the park’s website to ensure they will fully enjoy their visit.
