Review & FAQ:
The Perico Preserve was originally farmland that transformed into a mix of habitats that include upland areas, scrub hills, and coastal wetlands. The preserve is also the first of its kind to be “fully conceptualized as a bird sanctuary.” Visitors are asked to leave their dogs at home, other than service dogs, to ensure the wildlife has the best chance of successfully breeding and rearing young within the preserve. Bikes are permitted at the Perico Preserve on designated trails. Guests are asked to leave their bikes behind at key points and travel on foot to view the wildlife in their natural habitat.
