Listed in the National Register of Historic Places and part of The Delaware History Trail, the Indian River Life-Saving Station is a historical destination in the Rehoboth area. Built in response to the large number of shipwrecks occurring in the late 1800s, it was used for night beach patrols and high seas rescues.

The station has been restored to its 1905 appearance and is open for self-guided or staff guided tours. It has been in its current location since 1877. Located on a picturesque white sand beach, the Station is also available to rent for special occasions.
