The Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences is a center for performing arts, visual arts, and sciences located on Clay Square in Charleston. Because all three are housed in one building, Clay Center is one of just a few of its kind in the nation. Consisting of 240,000 square feet, the facility opened in 2003 and is the home of the West Virginia Symphony and the Avampato Discover Museum.
