The refuge is a popular vacation destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts, who can start their tour of the refuge by stopping by the Jackson Hole Visitor’s Center to watch an introductory video and get all the up-to-date information about the refuge. There is a multi-use pathway (May through October) for hiking, biking and wildlife watching and seasonal fishing and hunting is allowed. In winter you can enjoy horse-drawn sleigh rides which will take you up close to herds of elk and bison for wonderful photographic opportunities.
