Review:

Faithfully serving Texans and visitors looking for a way to escape the heat since 1961, The Texas Pool is an iconic 168,000-gallon saltwater pool that is best known for being shaped like the state of Texas. Thanks to its remarkable place in history, The Texas Pool has rightfully found a place in the National Register of Historic Places and continues to welcome visitors every summer starting Memorial Day up until Labor Day. The pool is home to a diving board, great waterslides, and a shallow wading pool for kids called South Texas. Though the pool had been feared to be forever closed in 2007, it bounced back in 2013 thanks to the creation of the non-profit Texas Pool Foundation. A symbol of Plano’s storied past, enjoyable present, and bright future, The Texas Pool is a must-visit when in town.
