Review:

The Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum is living proof of how one person’s dream can transform a barren tract of land into a wonderful natural community resource. The land on which the arboretum is established was once home to an early settler community where settlers lived, worked and raised their families. Neglected for many centuries, this historic 155 acre plot of land has been transformed into thriving forests, themed gardens and beautiful prairie meadows which beckon visitors to enter and stay a while. Besides enjoying the gardens visitors can enjoy other activities including walking, bird-watching and the use of a canoe launch.
