You will be forgiven if you think that the Chattanooga Choo Choo is a train; located in the heart of historic Chattanooga, the Choo Choo is a modern hotel as well as a piece of Chattanooga history you should not miss. The hotel occupies the former historic 1909 Terminal Station, the first railway station to be built in the South.
Built in the fashionable Beau Arts style, the Choo-Choo Hotel was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The hotel is surrounded by the 2-acre serene Glenn Miller Gardens which have replaced the historic railway tracks and platforms. Chattanooga Choo Choo complex includes a train escape room, the Backstage Bar, the Frothy Monkey restaurant as well as a brewery and distillery.
