Founded to honor the memory of Providence’s founder, the Roger Williams National Memorial Park features 4.5 acres of beautiful green space starting at Park Row W Street and stretching to North Main Street.
This park is home to pristinely manicured grounds and landscapes as well as fantastic walking paths to enjoy and help guests see the beauty of Providence.
The visitor center is a great place to start a trip to the park, which airs an introductory video about Roger Williams and also features a museum.
Other lovely landmarks to see at the park include the 1736 Antram-Gray House, the commemorative site of the spring Roger Williams discovered in 1636, and the park’s distinguishing plaque.
