Another of Tulsa’s popular quirky attractions, the Center of the Universe marks the spot of a most unusual acoustic phenomenon that no-one really understands. The attraction is not much to look at; all you will see is a mysterious circle of concrete surrounded by further circles of paving. You can reach this interesting attraction by following a brick path to a pedestrian bridge which crosses the railway, directly north of the Williams Center Tower – any local will be happy to direct you. When you stand in the center of the concrete circle and make any kind of sound, it will come bouncing back to you, many times amplified. Visitors are invited to come and try it out for themselves.
