Alaska Botanical Garden endeavors to protect and showcase an outstanding variety of plants in appealing, natural settings. The gardens include several individual themed gardens including a Perennial Garden, Herb Garden, Rock Garden, the Anchorage Heritage Garden and various sections of trail-side gardens.

The Outdoor Classroom has been specially designed to educate children about the joys of gardening and enable them to learn where much of their food originates. There are also a couple of beautiful trails to explore. If you would like to know which plants will be at their best when you visit you can check the website to see which plants are in flower.
