Review:
A historic mansion, a museum, a cultural education center, a destination store, and even a café, the American Swedish Institute is an all-in-one destination that shouldn’t be missed. You can visit the historic Turnblad Mansion, which was built sometime between 1904 and 1908 and features 33 decorative and stylish rooms. You can also see lovingly curated exhibitions at the museum, or enjoy a cup of coffee and a Swedish treat or two at the FIKA Café, an award-winning café that is a great introduction to New Nordic cuisine. The museum offers guided tours for those who want to get the most out of their trip to the institute.
