Review:

Resembling ‘a crumpled aluminum can’, as described by visitors, the inspiring stainless steel and brick façade of the Weisman Art Museum echoes an impressive collection of art within its walls. Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum is modern art museum located on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Acting as a teaching museum for the university for over 80 years, the museum’s impressive collection features early twentieth-century American artists, such as Marsden Hartley and Georgia O’Keeffe, as well as a diverse selection of Native American Mimbres pottery and ceramics, contemporary art and a unique display of Korean furniture.

The museum is open every day, except Mondays and major holidays. Admission is free.
