Review:

Old rubs shoulders with new at the recently renovated and enlarged Asheville Art Museum. The original North Wing of the museum is a great example of Second Renaissance Revival Architecture, while the new glass extension is totally rooted in the New Millennium. Inside you will find an exciting collection of 20th and 21st century American art from all corners of North Carolina. The permanent collection allows visitors to follow movements and trends through the decades and includes visual arts and hand-made articles from the early Cherokee tribes to the present day. The museum invites all art lovers to come and view their constantly-changing exhibitions.
