The busiest cruise ship port in the country, Invergordon is a small town located in a particularly beautiful part of the Highlands. The town is pleasant enough, offering plenty of shops, cafes, and buildings decorated with colorful murals, but the real attraction here is the multitude of excursions that can be done from the town. Even if you have only half a day, it's possible to visit a castle, a whisky distillery, or the famous Lock Ness. The majority of visitors are just passing through the town on a cruise, but there are still plenty of excellent guest houses, hotels, and campsites in the area.
