More than just a garden, The Royal Botanical Gardens Victoria represents a snapshot of Australian biodiversity and offers the public a glimpse of how plants and habitats affect our world. The RBCG is spread over two separate locations, one in Melbourne and the other in Cranbourne – together they showcase a remarkable collection of over 200,000 individual plants. The Melbourne gardens have plants from all over the world, while the highlight of the Cranbourne gardens is the amazing collection of native Australian plants. You can hop aboard the open-air Garden Explorer for a hop-on-hop-off tour at both venues and both the gardens hold regular special exhibitions, workshops, and events.
