Review & FAQ:

Memento Park, also known as Memorial Park, was opened in 1993 and was designed by Akos Eleod, a Hungarian architect who won a competition held by the Budapest General Assembly. Memento Park has sculpted plaques and statues of leaders from the Cold War dedicated to Hungary's Communist period. The park is divided into two sections for visitors to explore: Statue Park and Witness Square. Statue Park has 42 monuments and statues, including those of Karl Marx, Lenin, Georgi Dimitrov, and Bela Kun. One of the more popular sculptures among visitors is the replica of Stalin's Boots in Witness Square - the boots were a symbol of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
