Review & FAQ:
Rancho San Rafael Regional Park offers beautiful views of both mountain and desert landscapes, as well as a wetland habitat. The land, once home to a working cattle ranch, was converted into a park after Washoe County purchased the land in 1979.
Two of the original ranch houses still stand on the property. In addition, the park contains pavilions for picnicking, walking trails, fishing, biking, playgrounds, volleyball courts, and more. The William D. May Museum and Arboretum are also part of the park and are open to the public Wednesday through Sunday.
