Located within Zilker Park near downtown Austin on the south bank of the Colorado River, Zilker Botanical Garden stretches across 26 acres of mixed topography, offering suitable homes and diverse habitats for both native and exotic plants.

This beautiful green oasis in the heart of the city combines theme gardens of roses, herbs, lilies, and succulents, and there is also a Japanese garden connected with waterfalls, streams, and ponds filled with fish. Each individual garden feels like a separate world, and they flow from one to the other.

The Hartman Prehistoric Garden, a favorite among visitors, recreates the world in which the dinosaurs lived.

There is also a blacksmith's The Austin Area Garden Center manages the garden and organizes a range of activities, programs, and events such as an annual spring garden festival.
