Trap Pond State Park is a 3,653-acre state park near Laurel that is home to one of the last surviving areas of what was once a vast wetland with an abundance of fauna and flora. Today, the park features an extensive stand of bald cypress trees, as well as forests of hardwoods and hardwoods, beneath which the park’s campsite is situated. The campsite features spacious private sites for tents, RVs, and trailers with full water, electrical, and sewerage hookups, cable television, picnic tables, and fire pits. Amenities at the campground include restrooms with hot showers and flushing toilets, drinking water, laundry services, dump stations, complimentary high-speed wireless Internet, and a camp store selling essentials.
