Review:

The Ruby and Calvin Fletcher African American History Museum provides an in-depth look at the many trials and tribulations faced by African American citizens of the US through several centuries. The museum was established by Jeffrey Fletcher, a life-long resident of South Eastern Connecticut, and is named for his parents. Throughout his long career in the city, Jeffrey Fletcher amassed a huge collection of artifacts, photos, documents and other memorabilia, which he now shares with the public. The exhibits document the turbulent times during slavery, the Civil Rights Movement and later segregation.
