Farmington Club was once a swim and tennis club that was open only to members, but over time it has grown into one of the premier and most beautiful wedding venues in the Hartford area. Venue spaces include two lovely dining rooms, which can each accommodate up to 125 and 300 guests, respectively, as well as a massive picnic facility for outdoor wedding receptions that has room for up to one thousand wedding guests. Couples who choose to host their wedding and/or reception in the Hartford Marriott Downtown will have their pick of ten different event rooms, the largest of which is suitable for parties of up to 550 guests for a wedding reception. The venue has an urban-chic feel, and is located right downtown, meaning it’s close to a lot of attractions, accommodations, and urban ceremony venues, making it very convenient for the wedding party. The Lyceum is a red brick conference center located in Hartford, Connecticut, which has tall, lofty ceilings, big arched windows, and neo-classical revivalist touches in its beautiful architecture. There are four event spaces at the Lyceum Resource and Conference Center, the largest of which can accommodate up to 150, and the smallest of which would be great for intimate weddings with just a few close loved ones. The Lyceum recommends using Kitchen Catering, a company located just across the street with whom they often partner for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special gatherings.
