The Lariat Loop National Scenic Byway in Colorado restraces driving routes in the Foothills of the early 1920's. This route is the product of two different earlier driving routes: the Bear Creek Canyon Scenic Mountain Drive and the Lariat Trail Scenic Mountain Drive. One of the original gateways in the state of Colorado to the scenic Rocky Mountains, the byway features winding roads, sharp curves, and a number of different spots for visitors to pull over and take in the beautiful views.

The Lariat Loop National Scenic Byway passes by several mountain towns, including Evergreen, Morrison, and Golden.
