Visitors can explore mining-related attractions in Leadville's historic downtown or access the San Isabel, Pike, and White River National Forests for a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities throughout the year. Other attractions on the Byway include the Camp Hale Memorial, the Valley of the Ghosts, and Mount Massive Golf Course, the highest-elevation course in the nation. In all, full drives of the Byway take approximately two hours to complete.
