Review:

Tucked away off the beaten path at the southern edge of the San Juan Mountains, the Chimney Rock National Monument is a 4,726-acre archaeological site that provides visitors with a fascinating glimpse into the past. The area was home to the Ancestral Puebloans of the Chaco Canyon, and it now preserves approximately 200 homes and ceremonial buildings that can be explored by strolling along pathways that have remained unchanged for a thousand years. The visitor center is open every day between May 15 and September 30; daily walking tours are offered during this time period as well.
