Review:

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park was established in 1968 to preserve and celebrate the rich heritage and history of San Diego between the years of 1821 and 1872. The historic park consists of a main plaza, museums, exhibits, and living demonstrations of the city’s exciting history.

Up the hill from the park, you will find Heritage Park with several of San Diego’s Victorian homes, which have been relocated from their original site and meticulously restored to their original beauty. Visit La Casa de Estudillo, Mason Street School, the city’s first one-room school, or the Whaley House, which is known as a ghost house.

There is always something going on in Old Town. You can see history come to life when visiting one of seventeen points of interest. You can also watch a theatre performance and visit museums, galleries, and many unique shops. If you are looking for things to do this weekend in San Diego, the streets are always alive with music, dancers, mariachis, guides in period costumes, and so much more.
