Pacific Marine Mammal Center is one of Laguna Beach's premiere marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation centers, originally known as Friends of the Sea Lion and established as the state's first marine mammal rehabilitation facility in 1971.

Today, the center is one of six facilities of its kind along the Florida coast, staffed primarily by volunteers and operated as a nonprofit organization.

The center is usually open to the public daily, with free admission offered for visitors of all ages.

Interactive displays showcase the area's habitats and marine life, with marine mammal artifacts on display throughout. A Treasure Trove gift shop also sells a variety of gifts and goods for families and nature lovers alike.
